A bit about Sophie W

I am a 3rd year Chemistry student at University of Birmingham studying towards my Masters Degree. I have been tutoring for around 2 years with experience in teaching GCSE and A-level. Alongside this I am a mentor to sixth form students helping them with their University application. I specialise in A level and GCSE Chemistry across various exam boards. I will ensure to keep my sessions as engaging and informative as possible, ensuring to have communication with the student before each session to see what area of work they would like to focus on. I want to ensure that lessons are lead by the student as I am able to adapt by teaching styles to different students who benefit from different teaching methods. I love passing on knowledge and seeing a pupil expand their understanding and see their confidence grow. I have always enjoyed teaching and tutoring and hope to one day progress to being a Chemistry Teacher in my career. I have 11 GCSEs A*-B and 3 A levels A*AA. I have so far achieved 76% in my degree.
