A passionate Maths/Physics tutor with over two years of experience
You can book a free 20 minute, no-commitment introduction with any of our tutors. How does this work?
MSc IT Security at Nottingham Trent University expecting 2:1 and a second class upper honour in BSc Applied Physics. With over two years of hands-on, successful teaching experience, and extensive background in Mathematics and Physics, I am confident in my ability and achievement to become a dedicated Maths Teacher.
I encourage solving problems through hands-on learning while tutoring to stimulate growth, retain knowledge, and grow on both sides of the brain. Teaching for me is not just a profession, it is a way of imparting lives.
I worked as a Maths/Physics teacher for over a year in a community school where I improved the academic performance of pupils by 30% both in internal and external examinations. Furthermore, I progressed my teaching career by offering one-to-one tutoring and preparing pupils for pre-university exams in Maths and Physics. I currently work part-time as a Cambridge English Marker. As an undergraduate, I tutored over ten undergraduates in A level Physics/Maths to achieve academic excellence.
I realised how challenging and difficult it is for pupils to comprehend solving problems in Maths and Physics, thus, I encouraged learning by using several different manipulatives, hands-on physical activities and various form of technology in class and one-to-one.
Tutoring is not just a profession, it is an opportunity for me to impart lives with a great deal of knowledge beyond the four walls of an academic environment.
