A bit about Siobhan M

Over the years I've specialised in preparing foreign students for English exam levels B1-C2. I've taught group and private lessons to teenagers and adults at different language schools in Spain, and for the last 2 years, I've been teaching exclusively online. I have therefore built up a wide range of digital material, including textbooks, worksheets and practice exams to help you reach your target level! Apart from achieving successful results in exams, what I love most about teaching English as a foreign language is seeing how my students progress, gradually gaining confidence and fluency until they are able to communicate independently, whether in social situations, for travel, or in a professional context. Many of them have stayed in touch with me over the years and have thanked me for my patience, dedication and encouragement. That's what I consider the most rewarding side of teaching. I've been told that I explain grammar topics in a way that's easy to understand. I'm patient, empathetic, and happy to go the extra mile for students who are keen to learn. I have a vocation for teaching and really enjoy my lessons, as well as having a good sense of humour, although I admit that I am strict, as far as putting in the effort is concerned. I have a degree in Modern Languages (University of Manchester), which included a year of teaching practice in a Spanish secondary school. I received in-house TEFL training in the first language school I worked for, and I completed various courses of the Inlingua teaching method during the 10 years I worked there. I have also attended many conferences and courses organised by Cambridge Assessment English.
