A bit about Dave B

As a published author, I specialise in creative writing skills and literary analysis, i.e. interpreting and evaluating texts such poetry, novels, and plays, including Shakespeare, of course! Generally, I prefer to take a less structured approach. Although each lesson will be based around a particular topic or text, I find it more productive to allow the conversation to flow naturally, exploring and developing ideas as they arise. My style is quite informal. I do not worry about targets or predetermined outcomes; learning is a long-term journey for both student and tutor. I want my students to develop their own ideas and critical thinking skills, not to simply memorise and repeat my ideas.
