A bit about Hadiqa M

Biology and Chemistry. I graduated with a degree in biomedical sciences and have always had a keen interest in the sciences. Biology and has been my favourite subject to learn, but also to teach and I can teach GCSE and A-level Biology. I used to be a EAL teaching assistant and I would teach biology and chemistry at KS3 and GCSE level to students, who were not native English speakers and I would help them complete their homework. My teaching style is professional and I tailor my classes to fit the student’s needs and requirements. I understand that each class is different and so am able to switch between different teaching styles such as delegating or facilitating. I encourage my students to have a voice in the classroom and create a comfortable learning environment in which questions and queries are always welcome. Also As a student myself, I know the importance of having skills such as crucial thinking and communication, and in my classrooms I facilitate students in learning these skills and/or improving on them. I have graduated with a degree in BSc (hons) Biomedical Sciences and am currently studying a masters degree in Dental Medicine. I also qualified with a TEFL certificate and so am competent in teaching english at an advanced level. I have spent almost 5 years working in pharmacy and have qualified with a certificate in pharmaceutical related courses and so also have an advanced level of knowledge about medications. I have experience teaching the Scottish National Curriculum (Nationals, Highers and Advanced Highers) and also the english school system (GCSE and A-levels). I know how to teach the following exam boards: AQA, SQA and OCR.
