This course will focus on revising 'A Christmas Carol' by Dickens. This two part course will centre upon the key features of literary study: context, plot, character and theme. All students will be heavily encouraged to submit essay work after the class which will be marked and returned with feedback.

In this course we will take a journey together through the masterpiece that is 'Macbeth'! This course will begin with a recap of the play's context, before moving on to revising key characters and themes, studying and analysing key scenes and finally planning and preparing an essay.

In this session we will study the mid-century play, 'An Inspector Calls'. We will begin by recapping Priestly's life and political ideologies, before revising dramatic techniques used in the play that shape its meaning and purpose. The course will then examine character, theme and structure before we plan, prepare and produce an essay together!
