The most suitable unit for measuring cell size is micrometres.

Measurement of cell

1) milimeter (mm) = Thousand micron (um) micron is a unit of length in the CGS system, equal to one million of a metre in SI unit it is replaced by the micro metre (um).

2) Nano meter or milimicron (mm) =

1 micron = thousand micron

3) Angstrom (A°)=

10-1mm

Or

= 10 to the power one milimicron

=10-4 u = 10-7 mm (micron meter).
