1 - the percentage as a decimal.


for example if I wanted to decrease 200 by 52%, the multiplier would be 1 - 0.52, which is 0.48.


200 x 0.48 = 96


therefore a decrease of 52% would be 96.

To find the multiplier for a % decrease, subtract the % decrease from 100% and then convert this percentage into a decimal by dividing by 100.
