Pressure is the amount of force on an area. It's measured in newtons per cm squared or newtons per meter squared. If something applies a pressure of 10 newtons per cm squared, there force is 10 newtons on every cm squared.

You put Pressure on the ground. The force is your weight and the area is the amount of space your feet cover the ground. If you divide the force by the area you can calculate the pressure on the ground.
