The mean is the average value and is found by adding together all the values and dividing by how many values there are.

In Science this would be asking for the average of the numbers - so add up the numbers nad divide by the number of numbers.
For example 1,2,3 Average = 1+2+3 = 6/3 = 2 so the average would be two
