Hi Rhea,

This is a very complicated question, with a very simple answer: Everything can be affected by someone's belief in a god, or God.

Political stances are a big one. A lot of religious people will choose political beliefs that agree with their religious beliefs, whatever they happen to be. Religion can also affect smaller, everyday things, like what to eat, or what to wear. Religion can also affect morality, as if a person believes in a religion that has a strict moral code, they will often behave in a way that reflects these morals.

Conversely, some people may have no religion and still do these things. If a person has no religion, they will likely still follow certain religious guides. As an example, an atheist wouldn't commit murder just because religions say murder is wrong.

Hope this helps!

A belief in God can impact the way a person deals with the concept of suffering and to understand why suffering occurs in the world. In addition, one will view moral dilemmas through a different lens when taking a belief in God into account. Further than that, one will have a certain set of values which are based on the belief in God.
