Malware is software designed to cause disruption or harm to a computer system. An example of malware is a virus, which attaches itself to a program. Once this program is opened the virus can enter the computer system and can damage data/software on the device.

The word Malware is a combination of two words Malicious and Software. Malware is any type of software designed to cause intentional harm to computer systems or a network of computer systems or associated devices.
