Hi, I am looking at different options to help my son get through his Maths GCSE this year and wanted to know what a reasonable price per hour is for a Maths GCSE tutor that can raise his grade by 1 or 2?

Prices will start from £15 an hour and range to £60 an hour. For GCSE students, I would be targeting the lower end of this range since most tutors will be well experienced in tutoring GCSE level maths
£20 per hour is a very reasonable price.

On Sherpa the minimum charge per hour is £15 and for me personally, I charge the minimum. I personally have taken my Mathematics and Further Mathematics A level and achieved an A in both as well as I got a 7 in my Maths GCSE. So, personally, I would happily work with your son at that price and do my best to improve his grade as much as possible.
Therefore, if you went down this route it could cost you £15 per session or more depending on the tutor's asking charge.
Around £15- £20 is a good average price for a student or teacher with a good GCSE grade in he subject but for a professional you'd be looking at at least £35
Hi Isac, I would be able to help your son improve his GCSE maths grade, it would probably be around £15 an hour.
25 pounds an hour! Will be great though for school
£25 to 30 per hour
Hello Isac,
That would depend on what your son needs help with. If they require help understanding the syllabus, it can cost a bit more as teaching complicated topics will require time but allow him to do better in more challenging questions. However, if he needs practice, it could be cheaper as one of the Tutors can question him while assisting, increasing confidence with the GCSE math material.
Kind Regards,

A fully qualified tutor is around £ 25-30 per hour, unqualified around £10-20 per hour. A qualified teacher can achieve much more in an hour provide the right direction and plan to attain a much higher grade.

Hi Isac, thank you for getting in touch. The answer to this question varies with experience and qualifications. For tutors that are just starting out, prices will usually range from £14 - £19 an hour. If you're wanting tutors who have more experience and/or some relevant qualification, then prices can range £20 - £30 an hour and more than that if you're looking at experienced tutors who will most likely have a proven track record.
I hope this helps and if you have any more questions, I'd be happy to help. I am also available as a mathematics tutor with experience and willingness to negotiate prices that will suit the both of us. Thanks, Ahkin Bautista
