Hi, I am looking at different options to help my son get through his Maths GCSE this year and wanted to know what a reasonable price per hour is for a Maths GCSE tutor that can raise his grade by 1 or 2?

£15/hr, this is the cost of my tutoring and I can for sure help your son get at least a grade 7 with some intense, engaging and informative revision

Hi Isac Russel,

The price of the tutor generally varies from person to person, however with an experienced tutor that can to the best of their ability aid in raising a students grade would be £20+. I hope this helps, if you have any further queries please don't hesitate to message.

Kindly,

Brahmi

£30 is a good fee xpectation. I have taken students from grade 5 to 9, and from grade 2 to 6, but it depends on his level of engagement - how much he wants to learn. To support school work a minimum of 1 hour a week would be necessary, but to really boost his skills, I would recommend 2 lessons per week.

Hi Isac, although I've not surveyed the market, I'd say somewhere between £15 - 30 /hour is reasonable. Some tutors cost more than this as they have different teaching qualifications or have been doing it longer, but you can probably find a good tutor in this price range. For example I offer about £20/hour for my lessons.
