There are a variety of ways to find 146% of 700. Arguably the simplest way is to work out 1% of 700 and then multiply it by 146. To do this you would divide 700 by 100 and then multiply the answer by 146.

The word percentage means to divide (per) by 100 (century) so to find a percentage of any number it is useful to first change the percentage into a fraction so the division is clear. In this case 146/100 x 700. Now we can simplify the denominator (100) and numerator (700). 100 goes into 700, 7 times. Our new calculation is now 146 x 7. So the final answer is 1022. There are other ways of finding a percentage of a number. It is a good idea to make sure you find one that makes most sense to you.

Firstly, we need to find out what 1% of 700 is. 1% of 700 is 7. We need to find out what 146% of 700 is, and we know that 1% is 7; so, we have to multiply 7 by 146 in order to get 146%. 7 x 146 = 1022. Therefore, 146% of 700 = 1022.

If we think of it as 100% + 46% we can find 46% of 700 by doing 700 x 0.46 and then add it to 700 (100% of 700 is 700) to get the final answer.

First turn the 146% into a decimal (divide by 100). This would equal 1.46.

Then times that 1.46 by 700.

1.46 X 700 = 1022

700 is 100% so we only have 46% left to add on. To do this we divide 700 by 100 to find 1% which is 7. Multiply 7 (1%) by 46 to find what 46% is, which is 322.

We now have 100% = 700 and 46% = 322, so all we need to do is add them together to get 146%!

700+322=1022, therefore 146% of 700 is 1022

700 is 100% of the number, so we first divide by 100 to find the vale of 1%:

700 ÷ 100 = 7.

We want to find 146% so we multiply our answer by 146:

7 x 146 = 1022

in short, we shall replace the question into to our equation in the following way,

in place of

what, How = x

% = 1/100

of = X

is/was/are/were= '=symbol'

146% of 700 is the question so we shall replace it with our equation format

146X 1/100 X 700 = 1022

Since a percenatge is a number expressed as a fraction of 100 we can use it multiply it by 700 to see what 147% of 700 is.

I am going to show you two different ways.

With a calculator you change the percentage to a decimal by dividing by 100.

146 / 100 = 1.46

1.46 is the multiplier to use. Now, put the following calculating into the calculator.

700 x 1.46 = 1022.

Without a calculator you will need to calculate 46% of 700. You can do this by building up.

Find 10% of 700 by dividing by 10. This equals to 70.

4 x 10% = 40%, we multiply 70 by 4 to find 40%.

70 x 4 = 280

Next we need to find 6%

To find 1% we divide by 100

To find 5%, we half the value of 10%. We could also divide the value by 20.

So,

1% of 700 = 7

5% of 700 = 1/2 of 70 = 35

Add 1% and 5% together give 42.

Now, we add it all together with the 700.

700+42+280 = 1022.

First divide by 146/100 and then multiply with 700

(146/100) * 700

100% is already known , it is 700. 10% of 700 is 70. Times 70 by 4, which is 280 for 40%. 5 percent is 700 is 70/2 which is 35. 1 percent is 7. Add 700+280+35+7, which gives you 1022, which is the answer. (so we broke down the 146 percentage into 100%, 40%,5% and 1%, and when added together it will give the right answer)

  1. Convert 146% to a decimal. This will give you 1.46
  2. Times the decimal by 700. So, 700 x 1.46 = 1022

What we start with is the full amount, so it's 100%.

100% = 700

10% = 70, so 40% = 4 x 70 = 280

1% = 7, so 6% = 6 x 7 = 42

146% = 100% + 40% + 7% = 700 + 280 + 42 = 1022

There are many ways to get the answer
