So, one method I would use would be to convert the percentage into a decimal by dividing by 100.

146/100= 1.46 (this is called the multiplier)

you then multiply the multiplier by the amount.

1.46 X 700 = 1022.

Second method:

you could find what 1% 0f 700.

700 divided by 100 = 7.

then do 7 X 146 to get what 146% is.

146 X 7 = 1022.

If 100% of 700 is 700, we know that 146% will be higher than 700. To find this out the easiest way would be to find what 1% of 700 is and times that by 146. If we divide 700 by 100 this should give us 7, which is 1%, then times this by 146 and the answer will be 1022 - 146% of 700.

You would multiply 700 by 1.46.

146%= 146/100

of= multiply

equation:

146/100X700

= 1022 is the 146th percent of 700.

In this percentage equation, we follow a simple DMAS (Divide, Multiply, Addition, and Subtraction) rule. We first divide 146/100 which is 1.46. Then we multiply 1.46 X 700.

If we think of it as 100% + 46% we can find 46% of 700 by doing 700 x 0.46 and then add it to 700 (100% of 700 is 700) to get the final answer.

700 is 100% of the number, so we first divide by 100 to find the vale of 1%:

700 ÷ 100 = 7.

We want to find 146% so we multiply our answer by 146:

7 x 146 = 1022

So there are 2 ways we could go about this.

First is the long way which is splitting up 146% into chunks - 100%, 40% and 6%

100% of 700 = 700

40% of 700 = 280

6% of 700 = 42

And then add up all the answers... 700 + 280 + 42 = 1022

Or the short cut which is my personal favourite - turning 146% into a decimal, which is just dividing it by 100

146% = 1.46

And then simply multiply 700 by 1.46 = 1022

(Which is much easier to do when you have a calculator lol - but we can also go through how to multiply decimal numbers)

percent means divide by hundred so first you divide you would need to divide the 146 percent by 100 as that's the percentage we need, 146/100= 1.46

so then you would multiply 1.46 by 700 as the total value = 1,022

You would firstly find 1% (1% of 700 = 7) (to find 1% of a number, we divide by 100)

1% = 7 but we want to find 146%, we need to ask ourselves 'how do we get from 1% to 146%?' - we have multiplied by 146.

We must then do the same to our original answer (7 multiplied by 146) this gives us a final answer of 1,022.

You would have to change 146% to a decimal then multiply it by 700. So 146% becomes 1.46 as a decimal. (1.46x700)= 1022

step one , turn 146 into a decimal ( divide by 100)

this = 1.46

next you times 1.46 by 700 this would = 1022

700 is 100% so we only have 46% left to add on. To do this we divide 700 by 100 to find 1% which is 7. Multiply 7 (1%) by 46 to find what 46% is, which is 322.

We now have 100% = 700 and 46% = 322, so all we need to do is add them together to get 146%!

700+322=1022, therefore 146% of 700 is 1022

146/100 = 1.46

1.46X 700 = 1022

Whenever a number is expressed in percentage, it means that it is divided by 100. In this case 146% = 146\100. To answer your question, we could directly do 146\100 * 700 which gives us 1022.

Another way to answer this question would be:

We know 146% = 100% + 46%

100% of 700 is 700. (represents 100%)

Now we need to calculate 46% of 700 which will be 46\100*700 = 322 (represents the 46%)

Because we need 146%, we then add 700+322 = 1022

Hope this helps
