Euthanasia corresponds to "dying well."
A person is killed actively when they are put to death, possibly with a lethal injection. In the UK, active euthanasia is forbidden.
Treatment is withheld as part of passive euthanasia, allowing the patient to pass away. Because it allows the body to proceed naturally towards death, passive euthanasia is legal.
