Roman Catholics believe that life begins at conception (when the sperm meets the egg) and therefore, they believe that the embryo/foetus is alive at all stages of pregnancy and therefore, RC class abortion as murder. Some Muslims believe that abortion after 21 days is murder, because they believe at 21 days the foetus receives its soul.
