Sherpa x GEW 2022 Giveaway Rules & Guidelines

To help celebrate Global Education Week 2022, we wanted to give back to our amazing community by putting on a giveaway!

Education is such an important step on the ladder to building a sustainable future for all. Without it, the outcome could be disastrous. This week is a call to rethink our world together, using Global Education as a tool for unity and change so we can maintain a sustainable and equitable world.

So what are we doing? Well, I am glad to announce that we are running a giveaway to all Sherpa students to help provide more of them with access to high-quality, affordable education and help nurture the next wave of scientists, nurses & doctors, engineers and more…

What can I win?

We have 3 prizes up for grabs during the giveaway event.

1st Prize:

SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 10.4 inch tablet 64GB storage (Oxford Grey) with S-Pen included. 1 free Sherpa lesson is also included!

2nd Prize:

Webcam and microphone combo pack. 1 free Sherpa lesson is also included!

3rd Prize:

Free 1-hour lesson on Sherpa with the qualified teacher or experienced tutor of your choice!

How can I enter?

There are so many ways to gain entry into the giveaway. So let's run through them, shall we?

If you are a current Sherpa student and you take part in a lesson between the 14th November and the 20th November, you will automatically gain 1 entry into our prize draw at the end of the week.

But that's not all, you can increase your chances of winning by completing additional entry tasks. The more entries you collect, the better your chance of being selected to win a prize at random.

In order for Sherpa to be able to track the number of entries you have earnt, you must complete all of the above tasks through the giveaway link below. Failure to do so will mean we cannot verify that you have entered multiple times and your chance of winning a prize will be lower.

The best way to accumulate entries and increase your chance to win is to share your Sherpa lesson referral code with friends and family. Not only do the same referral rules still apply (you get £25 off a lesson, they get £25 off a lesson) but it's uncapped. So the more times you refer friends this week, the more entries you'll gain and the more credit you'll earn to your account.

To be eligible to win the tablet, you need to share your referral code with a minimum of 5 friends.

How will I find out if I've won?

Our prize draw will be run live on TikTok the week beginning the 21st of November, with more information to follow.

The winners will be contacted via email, letting you know you have won from a member of the team. You will have 5 working days to respond so that we can arrange your prize with you in a reasonable amount of time.

Terms & Conditions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, "The Promoter" refers to Sherpa Online. The "Prize" refers to all 3 prize offerings stated above. (e.g. one (1) Samsung S6 Lite Tablet).

By entering the competition you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. All entries must be received by 11:59 pm UK GMT on 20th November. Three (3) winners in Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland) will be selected at random by The Promoter the week beginning 21st November and the winner will be notified on or after this date.

No purchase is necessary. Winners will not be required to pay to enter the competition.

Entrants must be over 12 years old on the date of their entry.

Employees of The Promoter are not eligible to enter.

Instagram or Facebook are not in any way affiliated with or involved in the competition.

Each entrant shall enter the competition via the use of the Sherpa lesson platform between 14th November and 20th November and the additional giveaway tasks in conjunction with SweepWidget. Should you wish to be excluded from the competition, you must notify Sherpa Online prior to the 21st of November 2022.

The Prize will be awarded to a randomly selected winner who has entered, using a random number generator. The Promoter will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.

In order to be eligible to win the Samsung Tablet. Noted as first prize, entrants must have referred a minimum of 5 friends to the platform using their referral code. Should no contestant do so, Sherpa reserves the right to cancel the awarding of this prize.

The Promoter will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter’s liability under or in connection with the competition or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the cost price of the Prize in question.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.

The name, address, email address and phone number of the winner must be provided to The Promoter if requested and will be shared to enable the fulfilment of the Prize.​

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond The Promoter’s reasonable control, the promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.

The Promoter's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

The winner’s name and social media username may be posted on the social media profiles of The Promotor after the winner has been selected.
