Malware typically steals sensitive data, damages or corrupts systems, and monitors user activity without permission. It can also spread across networks, create backdoors for unauthorized access, and disable security measures. Some types, like ransomware, lock files and demand payment for their release, while others hijack system resources for malicious purposes.
