Tourism is a big contributer to the economy of Alaska. Tourism allows Alaska to generate income through tourists staying in hotels, spending money in shops and taking part in excursions. This money/revenue allows Alaska to reinvest back into their country, this is usually invested into infrastructure to improve the countries accessibility and drive further tourism, contributing to the multiplier effect. Tourism also provides employment opportunities to the people of Alaska, which increases their income and improves their quality of life. tourism promotes Alaska, globally and encourages further people to travel to the country.
