In mathematics, the triple bar symbol means "equivalent to".
It is used in several branches of mathematics in different ways, but usually you can think of it as "equals to".
Example:
Writing f(x) ≡ g(x) would mean that the f and g functions are identical for all inputs. It would be also accurate to write f(x) = g(x).
