To divide by a fraction, flip the fraction and multiply by this. For example, to divide a number by 2/3, you multiply it by 3/2

To divide fractions. We say to the students, 'K F C'

  1. Keep the first fraction the same, if its a whole number put a ONE as the denominator.
  2. Flip the second fraction.
  3. Change the sign from divide to multiply.
  4. Multiply the numerators and multiply the denominators to get your answer.
