LCM stands for the LOWEST COMMON MULTIPLE.
It means the lowest number in the timetables you are looking at.
For example, the LCM of 4 and 6 is 12 because:
4 timestable : 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24,28,32..
6 timestable : 6,12,18,24,30,36,...
You can see the lowest multiple is 12. You can probably see 24 in both too. 24 is simply a multiple of 4 and 6, not the lowest common multiple.
Hope that helps :)

LCM stands for "Least/Lowest Common Multiple". It is the smallest positive integer that is a multiple of two or more integers added together. We can find out the common multiples of two or more numbers using different methods, eg, listing method, Prime Factorisation Method

Multiply the list of prime factors together to find the LCM.

For example, for LCM (12,30) we find:
LCM stands for least common factor thats mean we have to found the most least amount used in whole proplem
Lowest Common Multiple. It is two lowest numbers that can be divided without a remainder
Lowest Common Multiple - the smallest (lowest) number that is the same in two or more multiples
LCM stands for Lowest Common Multiple, between two or more numbers the LCM is the lowest multiple that is in both of the number's timetable.
E.g. 3 and 5,
the multiples of 3 are: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30
the multiples of 5 are: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40
the common multiples of 3 and 5 are 15 and 30.
so the lowest common multiple is 15 because 15 is lower (smaller) than 30.
LCM is lowest common multiple of given numbers. It is the number which can divide all possible numbers.
Example: Given numbers are: 18, 9,6. So LCM will be 3 as it is the lowest number which can divide all the given numbers.

LCM stands for lowest common multiple.
When you have 2 numbers their lowest common multiple is the smallest number they can both go into.
EG 3 and 2 have the lowest common multiple of 6 as it is the smallest number that both 3 and 2 are divisible by.

For example:- if the given numbers are 7, 8,10. And the question asked to find the LCM.
Here, 8 and 10 both are divisible by 2, which is a least number.
8÷2 = 4
10÷2 = 5
7 can not be divisible by 2. But, we won't take this factor into consideration.
So, the least numbers we get are 4,5,7 and 2 itself.
As LCM means least number multiple. Then, we will multiple 4, 5, 7 and 2.
4×5×7×2 = 280.
So, the LCM of the given numbers 7,8,10 are
LCM means the lowest common multiple of two or more given numbers.
For example, the LCM of 2 and 5 is 10.
Multiples of 2 are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and so on. Multiples of 5 are 5, 10, 15 and so on. 10 is the least multiple common to both 2 and 5.
The least common multiple is defined as the smallest multiple that two numbers have in common

It means "lowest/least common multiple". It is a term used to find the number which will be the lowest possible number that is a multiple of 2 other numbers. More clearly for example, let's try to fins the LCM of 4 and 6. For this, we need to imagine the lowest possible number that is divisible by both 6 and 4. We can say the answer is 12 in this example. 12/6=2 and 12/4=3 and there is no lower number that is a multiple of both 6 and 4.

The least common multiple is also known as LCM (or) the lowest common multiple in math. Let us take two numbers, 2 and 5. Each will have its own set of multiples.
Thus, the common multiples of 2 and 5 are 10, 20, ….. The smallest number among 10, 20, … is 10. So the least common multiple of 2 and 5 is 10. It can be written as LCM (2, 5) = 10.
