What are the metric conversions between mm, cm, m and km?

$1$ cm $= 10$ mm, $1$ m $= 100$ cm, $1$ km $= 1000$ m

What are the metric conversions for mass between grams, kilograms and tonnes?

$1$ kg $= 1000$ g, $1$ tonne $= 1000$ kg

How many millilitres are there in 1 litre?

$1000$ ml. Also $1$ centilitre $= 10$ ml.

When you convert a measurement into a smaller unit, do you multiply or divide?

e.g. 3.2 kg into grams

Multiply, as there are more of the smaller unit.
$3.2 \times 1000 = 3200$ g

True or false? To change 4500 g into kilograms you multiply by 1000.

False. You divide by 1000, giving $4.5$ kg.
