Yes. The range is the difference between the biggest and smallest number in the list. The interquartile range uses quarters (hence the word quartiles). Find the numbers that are at the 1/4 and the 3/4 position of the list. Then find the difference between these. The interquartile range is useful especially when the data has outliers.

Yes it is different to normal range, as a normal range is the difference between the largest and the biggest number from a set of values. Whereas, the interquartile range is the difference between the upper quartile and the lower quartile that is found out in the data.
The lower quartile is the value that represents one quater of the data
The upper quartile is the value that represents three quarters of the data.

Yes. The normal range is the difference between the smallest number in a set of data and the highest. The interquartile range is the difference between the numbers at the upper and lower quartiles ie. the number which is at the 25% mark (lower quartile) if you were to order the numbers in increasing order and the one which is at the 75% mark (upper quartile).
