100% = £90

Percentages always amount to a decimal/fraction.

Rephrasing the question to better understand the formula, what fraction is £30 out of £90?

30/90 = 1/3

1/3 x £90 = 33.3%

OR

you can do this in one step once you understand how the concept works...

30/90 x 100% = 33.3%
