False. The plan is a circle; the elevations are rectangles.

What are the steps to draw the plan and elevations of a solid on a grid?

e.g. a cuboid 33 wide, 22 deep and 55 high

  1. Plan: draw the view from above, a rectangle 33 wide and 22 deep.
  2. Front elevation: draw the view from the front, 55 high and 33 wide.
  3. Side elevation: draw the view from the side, 55 high and 22 wide.

A solid has a circular plan, and its front and side elevations are both identical triangles. What is the solid?

A cone.
