Least Common Multiple. The least common multiple of 2 numbers is the smallest number that is a multiple of both. For example : LCM of 2 and 7 is 14.

This can be found between 2 numbers by writing out a list of each numbers multiples (e.g., for 2 and 3 you would write out 2,4,6,8,10... and 3,6,9,12...). The lowest number found in both lists will give you the LCM

What is the LCM of 7 and 3
List the multiples of each number:
7, 14, 21, 28, 35
3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24
Find the lowest number that appears in both lists.
LCM of 7 and 3 = 21

LCM stands for least common multiple. It is the smallest common factor between two or more numbers. So the smallest number is divisible by all the original numbers is said to be the LCM of those numbers.
The LCM stands for Lowest Common Multiple, this means that the LCM is the smallest number in which two numbers can be a multiple of. For example:
The common multiple of 6 and 10 is 60, however when we look at the multiples of both numbers, we see that 30 is the LOWEST common multiple.
