An LCM is known as the Lowest Common Multiple. You are normally asked the Lowest Common Multiple of 2 or more numbers. If you wrote the times tables of these 2 numbers individually, it is the lowest number on both of the times tables lists.

The LCM stands for the Lowest Common Multiple. The LCM of two numbers is the smallest number that is a multiple of the first and second number. In other words, the smallest number that occurs in both times tables. For instance, the LCM of 4 and 6 would be 12, since 4 × 3 = 12 and 6 × 2 = 12.

The LCM stands for Lowest Common Multiple and it is the smallest number that two or more numbers can divide into evenly, as whole numbers.

LCM stands for the Lowest Common Multiple. A multiple is the times tables of a number e.g multiples of 6 are: 6, 12, 18, 24.... . If you want the lowest common multiple of two numbers you list the multiples of each number and then find the lowest one they have in common.

Hi Iftikhar,

Lcm is the abbreviation of Least common multiple. It's the smallest multiple that two or more numbers have in common.

Example:

LCM of 3 and 12 is 12.

because the multiples of 3 are:

3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, ..

and multiples of 12 are:

12, 24, 36, ....

Therefore the least common multiple (LCM) of 3 and 12 is 12.

LCM stands for Lowest Common Multiple.

This is the lowest multiple that 2 integers share.

For example, the lowest common multiple of 2 and 3 is 6.

LCM stands for "Least Common Multiple," and it's a concept in math that's used to find the smallest number that is a multiple of two or more other numbers.

Think of it like this: If you have two numbers, say 3 and 4, the multiples of 3 are 3, 6, 9, 12, and so on, and the multiples of 4 are 4, 8, 12, 16, and so on. The LCM is the smallest number that appears in the list of multiples of both 3 and 4, which in this case is 12.

So, the LCM helps you find the smallest number that two or more numbers can evenly go into, without leaving a remainder. It's useful in various math problems and calculations.

LCM is the short form for “Least Common Multiple.” The least common multiple is defined as the smallest multiple that two or more numbers have in common.

LCM is the abbreviation for the Least Common multiple, which refers to the smallest number that is dividable by both two numbers or all the numbers for more than two numbers.

Lowest common multiple shared within a set of numbers for example, the lowest common multiple of 6 and 3 is 6. This is because 6 is within both the 3 and 6 times tables.

It stands for ‘Lowest Common Multiple’. It means, what is the lowest multiple that is common to 2 or more numbers. For example, the LCM of 6 and 8 is 24.

LCM is the lowest common denominator.

This is when you have 2 numbers and you need to find the lowest number that is a multiple of both of those numbers.

For example, with the numbers 35 and 42, the lowest common denominator is 7. That is because this is the lowest number that BOTH 35 and 42 can be divided by to achieve a whole number.

You may think the LCM is 1, as any number can be divided by 1 to get a whole number, but 1 doesn't count as an LCM.
