Divide 1 by 4, and you get 0.25. Now, you multiply 5 by 0.25, and you get 1.25.

So 5*1/4 you will need to times 5 by the top of the fraction so 1*5 =5 so the new fraction work be 5/4 then if you divide 5 by 4 you would get 1 with a reminder of 1 which would go back on the fraction so the answer would be 1 1/4

firstly, convert the 5 into a fraction and place it over 1(so now it will be 5/1). Then, times the numerators by each other (5x1) (4x1). The answer is 5/4.

1.25

5 multiplied by a 1/4 can be worked out by dividing 5 by 2 twice. In simpler terms, halving the number once and halving the answer once more

5 times 1/4 is the same as writing 5 x 0.25(1/4 as a decimal). The answer is 1.25 or as a fraction, 5/4.

You can arrange 5 as a fraction, which would be 5/1 as any number divided by 1 would be the original number. Next, you multiple 5/1 by 1/4 - this would give you 5/4.

1.25 because 4 x0.25 is =1 so add another 0.25

so 5 is the same as 5/1. you simply multiply the numerators and the denominators with eachother, so that would be 5*1 for the top of the fraction and 1*4 for the bottom. Giving you 5/4

5 x 1/4 = 5/4

which can be 1 1/4 in fraction

or 1.25 in decimal.

So firstly, 5 could be written as a fraction of 5/1. This is because 5 split between one person would still be 5. So then I would set out the equation:

5/1 x 1/4

Then you would times the top of the two fractions together, the numerators, 5 times 1 = 5, then times the bottom two numbers together, the denominators. This would be 1 times 4 which equals 4. This means that the final fraction would be 5/4.

5 times 1/4 is the same as 5 divided by 4, which is:

5* 1/4

= 5/4

or as a missed fraction it is:

1 and 1/4
